Behavioral health support

What you need to know

If you or a family member is struggling, know that you’re not alone. BAE Systems offers several resources to help you, whether you’re going through a tough time or just need someone to listen.

Behavioral health care at your convenience

Dealing with mental health or substance use issues can be a challenge. With Cigna, you don’t have to go it alone. Receive quality care when, where, and how it works best for you through telephonic consultations or face-to-face, video-based services on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

If you’re a national Cigna medical plan member

Speak with a health coach

National Cigna medical plan members can receive free and confidential support for mental health issues and substance use concerns from licensed clinicians and counselors on Cigna’s Personal Health Team. Call 1 800 530 1314 to connect with someone today.

Access behavioral health outpatient care

If you have a Cigna medical plan, you can access behavioral health outpatient care through your Cigna medical plan or the Confide Behavioral Health NavigatorSM/EAP. If you choose to access this service through your Cigna medical plan, your out-of-pocket cost is the same as a behavioral health outpatient office visit.* No prior authorization is required.

Cigna behavioral health also provides access to video-based counseling through Cigna’s network of providers. Licensed counselors and psychiatrists can diagnose, treat and prescribe most medications for nonemergency behavioral/mental health conditions, including addiction, depression, grief/loss, relationship issues, and stress. To find a provider and schedule an appointment, visit myCigna.com. Go to “Find Care & Costs” and enter “Virtual counselor” under “Doctor by Type.” Or call the number on the back of your ID card 24/7.

Not a Cigna medical plan member?

Not to worry; you can still receive the same video-based counseling services through the Confide/EAP. Receive up to eight sessions per issue, per year, at no cost to you.

Three steps to get started

  1. Go to myCigna.com. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one. Select “Find Care & Cost” or “Find a Doctor, Mental Health/EAP Professional or Service” from the main menu bar.
  2. Click “Doctor by Type” and enter “Virtual Counselor” in the search bar.
  3. Call to make an appointment with your selected provider. Your provider will then give you information on how to set up the video-based session according to the technology they are using.
