What you need to know
Friday, May 12, 2023, marked the end of the federal government’s COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. As a result, some of our COVID-19-related activities, such as testing services, immunizations, and COVID case reporting requirements for most employees have been affected, as well as how COVID will be treated under our health plans.
Some COVID-19 practices will remain in place
At facilities where state or local COVID-19 restrictions remain (such as California), some of our COVID-19 practices will remain in place. Employees in those locations will receive more information from site leadership.
How health care benefits are affected
Special provisions governing health care benefits and coverage for COVID-19 have also stopped with the end of the public health emergency.
For example, your health care coverage for COVID-19, such as vaccines and doctor visits, is now covered the same as other preventive care and sick visit services.
