Military Leave

What you need to know

If you’re actively serving in the military, you have time-off options to fulfill your service.

Full-time and part-time employees who serve in the military reserves are eligible to take paid and unpaid leaves of absence to perform military duty.

If you are eligible for military leave, there is an opportunity for differential pay:

  • Short-term orders for Reserve or National Guard — differential pay will be paid for up to 15 workdays per calendar year. Short-term orders are those 1-30 consecutive calendar days in length or orders of any length for training, education, or schooling.
  • Long-term orders for Active Military Duty — differential pay will be paid for a continued, consecutive leave for up to 12 months per term of military duty if you are ordered to active duty under federal authority. Long-term orders are those 31+ consecutive calendar days in length.
