What you need to know

Vision coverage is included with your BAE Systems medical plan. For enhanced coverage, you can choose to also enroll in one of two vision coverage options.

You can choose to use the vision benefits, which are automatically included in your medical plan (Kaiser HMO or HMSA PPO) at no additional cost to you. For enhanced benefits—at an additional cost—you can enroll in VSP Choice or VSP EasyOptions, which generally provide a higher level of coverage than what’s included with your medical plan. You can also enroll in VSP Choice or VSP EasyOptions, even if you are not covered under any BAE Systems medical plan.

VSP Choice and EasyOptions

VSP providers offer a discount of about 15% on laser vision correction and 20% on additional pairs of glasses/sunglasses and non-covered lens options.

The EasyOptions plan includes all the VSP Choice coverage shown above and allows you and each family member to choose one of these additional benefits when purchasing glasses or contacts.

  • $250 frame allowance ($120 at Costco)
  • $200 contact lens allowance
  • Fully covered photochromic adaptive lenses
  • Fully covered anti-reflective coatings
